I have the same question In reply to manpacker’s post on July 30, Is it possible to select and copy text in terminal without a mouse? I have not looked at TPMiddle yet; might give it a try later. Is this the right place to post this or do we have to move this somewhere else? In other words, I think the factory install is the cause of some of these types of problems.

Lenovo trackpoint scroll not working in metro apps

It was like my T61 was possessed. Right now I have it scrolling very smoothly, but from time to time I’ve seen it start misbehaving. In my team there is another guy getting the same issue. While doing this, I tried to use a different mouse or take the mouse out and just use my touch pad and it does the same thing.

The Touchpad driver was updated sroll, but I can’t for the life of me find any difference now: I rebooted the computer and that didn’t fix it so I checked for updates, updated, and no more issues. Log in or Sign up.

I’m now able to scroll around using just the Trackpoint and middle button in all windows system and applications but I’ve lost the function of opening up links in their own tabs in Firefox by clicking the middle button. When you say your touchpad does the same thing, do you mean when you use the integrated touchpad scrolling function?

But perfectly fine in Firefox. Trackpoint scrolling is one of the absolute best features of the Thinkpad laptops.

I tried it already and it kinda works, but not as well as with my original touchpad, unfortunately seems less precise and reliable.
