Same exact problem running Windows 7, bit Ultimate on a Thinkpad T I followed your advice and uninstalled, downloaded the drivers from Gateway, and reinstalled the Intel Management Engine Components and the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.

LMS Service cannot connect to Intel(R) MEI driver
Driver support has ended for the AGN card with windows 7 intellr so I find myself in a bit of a quandary. This event warning has been appearing since day one of owning my notebook.
